  • No. We supply hardware to meter electric use and provide insights for greener choices. We leave supply to the experts.

  • No, the system does not rely on Wifi connectivity it uses the latest RF technology called LoRaWAN. Clever hey?

  • No, unlike other providers, Metpow does not require mobile coverage or network. We love remote camping and switching off. 

  • Not necessarily, Metpow offer a range of solutions that are a quick and easy retrofit to your current systems, if that’s what you need.

  • Yes, it certainly does and it protects you as a site to ensure you are Ofgem compliant. We are happy to discuss this more with you if you have any specific questions.  

  • Yes, our Smart Green Sockets are IP67 rated, ready for the great British weather

  • Yes the Metpow range of technologies are MID (B&D) compliant and CE marked. 

  • Yes, our retrofitted Smart Green Sockets have a patented lockable feature to ensure users have the best experience without tampering. 

  • No. You have complete control from your dashboard to remotely power on and off should you need to, but sessions will start and stop automatically through the customer payment app. Relax, and put the kettle on.

  • No. They can easily top up and pay for energy in a few clicks on their smart phone. Simple. 


  • No, when the power is restored, the Smart Green Sockets will come back in the same state as it went off, so you can sleep easy.
